Victory Village is the name of the Children's Ministry area at Crestview.
Located in the middle of the building, just west of the Middle Sanctuary (look
for the lamppost and welcome desk!), Victory Village is a streetscape just for
boys and girls.
Babies love pointing out the animals in the pet shop (Paul's Pets), while the
toddlers' make animal sounds looking at the ark in the toy store window (Noah's Two-by-Two). Across the way, girls delight in Esther's Imperial Salon, the girls restroom, and boys notice the barberpole just outside Sampson's Snips. Around the corner, opposite the baseball bench, is the sporting goods store (Phillip's Finish Line), and not far away the Village Post Office sports a red, white, and blue swag.
Our preschoolers love their Schoolhouse (yes, it's little and red!), and it's
hard to keep little ones away from the bright lights of the Good Shepherd
Theater. They love to try to name the instruments in the display window of King David's Music Emporium. The goodies in the window of the Daily Bread Cafe look too delicious to pass up, but then so do the flowers in the Village Green park. Finally, the brightly colored Adam's Art shop stands in contrast to the gentler Luke's Library--each one welcoming any child who comes.
Victory Village has been created to be a place to lead children into a growing
relationship with Jesus Christ in a secure community environment which is
founded in Scripture, and is fun, welcoming, and child-centered. When children
walk down the street, they can't help but feel, "Jesus loves me, and so do the
people in this church!"
