Family Promise of Butler County is an affiliate of Family Promise, Inc. which has been providing overnight lodging to children and families who are homeless throughout our nation since 1988. There are currently 182 affiliates in 41 states. In December of 2014, Family Promise of Butler County became its own 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It joins Warren County Interfaith Hospitality Network and the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cincinnati to address family homelessness in southwestern Ohio.
In Butler County there are currently over 500 children on record as being homeless, representing hundreds of families struggling with homelessness. As a community, we want to respond to this need. For further information or to contribute your time, talent or treasure, go to Family Promise. On ways you can help with Crestview’s homeless ministry, contact Sue Mahlock (513-309-4526). We still have many needs to support these families in crisis.
FAMILY PROMISE (IHN) UPDATE
We are blessed to host at least 11 local family members who are homeless each evening from April 2 through 9th. They will be eating in fellowship hall and sleeping in our education wing. Thanks for all who have stepped up to volunteer and provide food. We are in urgent need of one overnight host to volunteer Thursday, April 6th from 8:45pm -6:45am. This is an easy job! If you are able to do the overnight host OR to help set up & make beds after second service Sunday April 2nd, please see Gary Tumbleson or contact Sue Sue Mahlock. If you have any pantry donations, please label them FP and put them in the kitchen in the red FP tub by Sunday morning.
