Hope House

For more than twenty years, Hope House Rescue Mission and the Center of Hope for Women and Children(opened in 2010) have operated as a non-profit organization in Middletown, Ohio, serving Butler, Warren and the surrounding counties by providing safe, temporary, emergency shelter for approximately 100 men, women and children on a daily basis.  The mission supplies these individuals and families with three meals per day, clothing, personal care items and basic social services.  The shelter operates at 100% occupancy year round.

Hope House Rescue Mission strives to operate as more than simply an emergency shelter.  It offers comprehensive programs and services designed to promote long-term, sustainable life transformation. Breaking the cycle of poverty requires more than a warm meal and a bed for the night. While providing shelter is a critical part of the mission, Hope House understands that long-term success is only achieved when a combination of emotional, physical, behavioral and spiritual support is provided.

Goals:

  • To establish and maintain a safe, emergency temporary shelter for homeless people.
  • To provide a transitional housing program with longer term housing opportunities for homeless people.
  • To participate in government and private activities designed to supply food, shelter, clothing, case  management, sustainability programs and social services to homeless people.
  • To assist homeless people in obtaining permanent housing, employment, and physical and mental care.
  • To educate and engage the community about the problem of poverty.

The kindness and generosity of the members of Crestview Presbyterian Church are greatly appreciated by the HHRM Board and its residents.  The three new computers being used at Hope House and the white boards now on the walls in the learning room at the Center of Hope are a daily reminder of the difference your support makes to our programs.  Thank you!
