The Rev. Sara Jane Nixon has been with us at Crestview since 2022, initially serving as Associate Pastor before stepping into her current role as Senior Pastor.
Sara Jane is an alumna of Davidson College and Princeton Seminary, and is currently pursuing doctorate work at Dubuque Theological Seminary.
Bob has walked with many congregations over the years, serving as an Interim Transition Pastor and as a Transition Executive in two Presbyteries. Today, he’s part of our church family as Minister of Congregational Care, where he comes alongside those who are ill, hospitalized, or homebound to offer prayer, encouragement, and a listening ear.
Bob has a genuine passion for helping people grow closer to God—whether through worship, prayer, or finding everyday ways to share faith with neighbors. His ministry is rooted in kindness and a deep love for building up community.
He and his wife, Susan, make their home at Ohio Living/Mt. Pleasant in Monroe, along with their playful mini-Sheltie, Madigan. Bob is always glad to connect—simply call the church office to reach him.
Rodney Barbour has served at Crestview as Director of Worship and Arts since 2006. He directs the 40-voice Chancel Choir, the Crestview Ringers, the Worship Band, the Crestview Brass, and works with all music volunteers involved in children’s music and small ensembles. Rodney is an accomplished keyboard musician accompanying choir, soloists and playing for services when opportunities present themselves. Rodney works with Pastor Sara Jane Nixon to “write” Crestview’s worship services (readings, prayers, hymn/music choices, order). Also, he provides a weekly blog to help the congregation engage with worship elements and come prepared to worship.
Rodney’s background includes degrees in Music Education and Trombone (Marshall University), Organ Performance (Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music), and additional study at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rodney enjoys photography, and occasionally his “art” appears on the screens during worship to illustrate a point. Rodney is married to Cheri (Smith) Barbour (they are childhood sweethearts!) and they love to play golf together (Cheri is good!). If you need to know anything about hot dogs or ice cream (or the best restaurants in Cincinnati or West Virginia), then contact Rodney!

Tracie graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2002 with a degree in Christian Education and has served churches in West Virginia and Arkansas. Since 2020, she has helped to grow our youth ministry and has since rebranded it to Triple L Youth Ministries. This new name reminds us of our Youth Ministry Logo–Love God, Love Others, Show God’s Love to the World! In January 2023, she also assumed responsibility over the Children and Family Ministry. She also co-chairs our Presbytery Youth Council and enjoys participating in many projects inside and outside Crestview.
