  1. Is the word used for the ark of the covenant different from the word for Noah’s ark and Moses’ basket? If so, I wonder why? Thinking in terms of types, I see the ark of the covenant as similar to the others – wherever the ark goes, the Hebrews are delivered in battle.

    BTW – a service with 3 baptisms and 6 confirmands is a good day even if you don’t feel like you’re on your game. You’d have known why you felt off if you had gone to the Derby 😉

    1. Thanks for the reply Davc. Interestingly enough, the Hebrew word used for the Ark of the Covenant translates more like “box” than “boat”. But theologically, I agree with the connection you’re making between the Arks.
      It was a great morning indeed, even though I didn’t have my A game going! Would have liked to enjoy it more than I did.
