Family Promise – Message From a Volunteer

Crestview was blessed to be able to host families from Family Promise the last week from December 29 through January 4. You can read more about Family Promise here, but we want to share a special note that we received from one of wonderful volunteers:

If someone had asked me 50 years ago “how would you want to spend New Years Eve 50 years from now” …. “with homeless people” would not have even crossed my mind.

But it did cross God’s!

We welcomed two homeless women with their five kids, (infant to 14) played basketball, ate New Years food (wings, Skyline dip, sliders, chips, veggies, burp!).

Then Movie Night complete with movie candies, pop, etc.

This (New Year’s) morning we prepared breakfast of bacon, sausage/egg casserole, pancakes, cereal, bagels, coffee, juice, etc.

They arrived as strangers and left as family, friends, with Love and Hope….🤗.
