  1. Shawn, please reply with scripture verse about “shameless audacity” you referred to.

    1. Thanks for the comments brother. The passage is Luke Luke 11:8…sometimes translated boldness or persistence, but my Bible had “shameless audacity”!

  2. Another comment during your sermon was that people at Mary’s house were praying for Peter’s release from prison because Jesus had told Peter he was a rock on which Jesus would build His church. Therefore, Harod’s intended trial and execution of Peter the following day was inconsistent with God’s will. This is an example of people praying God’s word back to God!

    1. Yes…”Thy will be done.”!

  3. Shawn,
Yes, prayer is powerful. We are connecting and communing with the Creator God and our Heavenly Father who loves us.
God is able to intervene in any situation with power. His timing and methods may not be our preferred choice, however. So we learn to trust God in the middle of stressful situations.
I like to remember: God with us, Immanuel and the indwelling Holy Spirit as Counselor and Comforter. Each of us is learning to follow Jesus. Praying or pouring out your heart is part of the believer’s day. Pausing and listening are also prayer elements we need to practice.

    1. Agree Beth – pausing and listening are among the struggles I have with God (and others!).
