Let the little children come . . .
Throughout the gospels, Jesus has a real heart for little children and especially for their faith! At Crestview, we share that same heart. Our children’s ministries aren’t merely another babysitting service, but a chance for us to introduce children to Jesus Christ early in life.
We understand that children have different learning styles, so we pour our resources into making the message engaging and fun. Age appropriate games, activities, skits, songs, and videos are all part of both hours for children of all ages. On the first Sunday of each month children in 2nd through 6th grade are invited into “big church” to learn to worship our great God and to take Communion with our church family. On these Sundays our K-1st graders are dismissed to their individual groups during the service. On the other Sundays of the month, kindergarteners – 6th graders begin in their groups right at 9:30, or at 11:00, kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to begin their morning in the middle sanctuary to worship with a time of uplifting music, and then are dismissed to their individual groups. We bring the fullness of our creativity to encourage your children into a life-long journey of inquiry and discovery of God.
Children are our most precious possession. They are also the future leaders of the church. We want to help them grow in God’s grace and, therefore, provide education, fellowship and mission opportunities designed specifically for them. Through loving nurseries, fun and dynamic Sunday morning programming and varied children’s activities we are committed to help them grow into a relationship with Christ.
Sunday Morning in Victory Village
Join us on Sunday mornings in Victory Village, our children’s learning place. Located close to our middle sanctuary and fellowship hall, this is a special space designed just for children ages birth through 6th grade. As you stroll through this village, you will find Paul’s Pets next door to Noah’s Two by Two – the areas where we care for our littlest ones. You will find our older children in the Good Shepherd Theater or in The Daily Bread Café. There’s Philip’s Finish Line, King David’s Music Emporium, Esther’s Imperial Salon, and Sampson’s Snips. Our kindergarten through 1st graders spend time in Luke’s Library each week. For our West Chester Co-op Nursery School students, we even have a Little Red Schoolhouse!

Service and Mission
Our Crestview Kids learn to serve our church in a variety of ways on Sunday mornings. Our children lead worship while singing in the Cherubs or Joyful Noise Choirs. Our 2nd through 6th graders act as acolytes each week as they help to bring the congregation into the presence of the Lord. Children of all ages greet our members as they arrive and hand out church bulletins.
Our children participate in several mission projects each year as they learn to serve others in this community and those in need who live far away from West Chester as well. We collect money and canned goods for the Souper Bowl of Caring on Super Bowl Sundays, work hard each spring at Matthew 25 Ministries and pack shoe boxes full of gifts for Operation Christmas Child every November just to name a few. At Crestview, we are never too young to learn to serve our great God!
Fun and fellowship is an important part of what we do in Crestview’s Children’s Ministry. Aside from our Sunday morning gatherings and our service time together, we like to simply enjoy one another! Several times a year we gather together for a fun, family activity. It might be tubing at Perfect North. It might be participating in family game night at a member’s home. Sometimes we meet at church in our pajamas for family movie night. We love hayrides and bonfires at Niederman’s Farm. We break out our Red’s gear and go cheer on our team at Great American Ball Park. Every September we enjoy our Family Fun Day complete with inflatables, games, and delicious food. Many of our dads participate in FATHERS every Friday morning to connect with and provide support to one another. Our moms enjoy meeting twice a month for Moms Connect – a nice evening out for them with a strong support system of their own.
