Think “mission trip goes local.” A team of about 12 Crestview adults have travelled the past 15 years to aide with recovery and rebuilding following disasters such as floods and tornadoes. The team realized there is need for similar rebuilding, safety repair and reconstructions in our local community as well, so CARE was born.

Partnering with Habitat for Humanity, we worked about 180 hours helping 6 families in the Lincoln Heights/Reading area. The team built 5 sets of steps, reinforced a deck, fixed and mitigated water leakage in a a basement, repaired a concrete porch, prepped a home for repainting, landscaped and engaged with families.
Rania Kuwar, diagnosed with MS in 2004, has two teenaged sons. Her health has deteriorated significantly over the last several years.
Wheelchair bound, she has been confined to her home for 18 months. Crestview’s C.A.R.E. team fixed one major problem with several days of their time and material. Rania said “words cannot express the gratitude she feels and now has the opportunity to overcome many of the challenges she faces”. GOD’s WORK through OUR HANDS!
