With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting so many, the Crestview Mission Team felt called to support the healthcare teams on the front line. Who better to serve than those right here in our community at UC West Chester Hospital. Our goal is to show God’s love by supporting, celebrating, and thanking our West Chester Hospital healthcare workers, who are putting their lives at risk to keep our community safe.
God’s Work Through Our Hands
Three Phases of Support - Three ways YOU can help
Phase 3: Support
Thank you for your continued support and participation as we finish the third phase of the WCH Support Mission. God has clearly used our hands as an additional way to shine his love on the WCH staff and patients. During this phase, we’ve supported three WCH departments from May through October 2020 with various items. Below is a list of Crestview Teams and Team Leaders who have gathered and delivered these items.
Care packages + Prayer Event + Next Phase
Our WCH Hospital Appreciation Mission continues strong thanks to the generosity of our Crestview members and the commitment of the teams ( Choir, Deacons, Mission Team, Mowing Team, Faith Circle, Daystarters, Welcome Team, CFL, RMT, Elders, Koinania, Men of Integrity, Children & Youth Groups) who have been providing tasty treats each month to our three adopted departments. The WCH staff continually expresses how much they have appreciated Crestview’s support and prayers. Please see the LETTER from WCH Chief Administrative Officer, Tom Daskalakis and the THANK YOU NOTE from one of the WCH employees.
On Thursday, October 22, the teams will be delivering the final month’s appreciation packages to our local Healthcare Heroes at WCH. From the comfort of your home you too can make a difference by lifting in prayer, the WCH staff and patients as well as this mission, especially throughout the week of the care package deliveries.
On Thursday, October 29th, we also will hold a final Prayer Circle Event. Arrival time will be 6:30 pm with the prayer beginning at 6:45 pm. We ask all attending to bring signs of love, support and thanks as we once again fill the parking lot in front of the hospital and join Pastor Shawn in prayer for all the staff and patients of WCH.
Because of the effect of our support over the last several months, our mission team has decided to continue this outreach with teams to support another group of first-responders beginning in November – Employees at local elderly care facility(ies). There will be more details about this next phase coming soon.
Phase 2: Parking Lot Prayer Circles
Crestview members, friends and neighbors gathered (in their cars) for a moving Prayer Circle time on April 22 (for WCH day shift) and April 29 (evening shift). It was a time of prayer, support, and love that involved over 70 cars at both events. Thank you to all who participated and supported this activity. We have received positive feedback and thanks from several hospital employees and staff for sharing this time and support with them. Below are just a few of the pictures taken from both Prayer Circles.
